History

The Drenoran War

The Khan began as a townsperson in the Karan Islands during the rule of the Drenorans, prior to the arrival of the Baymen to Kara. Due to the Drenorans' mishandling of magic, the Karan Islands experienced famine. As a result, the Drenorans increased the amount of required tribute from the Karan villages, bleeding them dry. Dissatisfied with the Drenoran rule, the young Khan joined the side of the Baymen during the Drenoran War.

During the war, the Khan came into possession of Lymas, a Drenoran sword designed to kill Arimaex Glisk (and make its wielder immortal). After the defeat of the Drenorans, the Khan became disillusioned with the Kingdom of Stone Bay: the Karan Isles were not immediately healed post-war, and the repercussions of the famine, magical blight, and the subsequent war were still felt. The Khan attempted a rebellion against the Bay and attempted to rally his fellow townspeople-turned-soldiers to overthrow the Baymen they had fought for. When it failed and death by Arimaex Glisk seemed imminent, the Khan stole Lymas and fled the Karan Isles.

First Return to the Karan Isles

After the opening of the ports in 900 AJ, he returned to Orlan. Now an almost skeletal figure kept alive only through the power of the Drenoran blade, he named himself the Khan: King of the Bandits. He attempted a second rebellion against the Baymen, rallying new Karans against the Kingdom of Stone Bay's rule. However, his rebellion failed, in part due to the power of Arimaex Glisk, and he fled the Karan Isles once more.

Second Return to the Karan Isles

After the death of Arimaex Glisk at the Battle of Orlan, the Bay's projection of power was severely weakened. After hearing about Glisk's death from across the sea, the Khan bided his time, waiting for an opportunity to strike. Ten years after his second failed rebellion and Glisk's death, the Khan and his bandits sailed upon Kara again.

After landing on Karan shores, the Khan sent bandits throughout the Kingdom, robbing and attacking various groups within the Kingdom. One such bandit fled a group of guards via boat and was given the moniker "The Boat Bandit." Later, the Khan launched an assault against the City of Stone Bay and attempted to attack the Prismarine Throne itself as revenge upon the Baymen who he believed slighted him. He was unsuccessful, and was driven back to his fortification in northwestern Orlan.

The armies of Kara rallied against the Khan and fought their way through the Khan's bandit camp, trapping him inside his fortress. The Khan challenged Karans to fight him one-on-one. Several obliged; several fell, including the Lunar Queen. Eventually, the Khan was slain, and the Khan Blade returned to the hands of the Kingdom of Stone Bay.
