History

Following the dissolution of the Parliament of Orlan by Ser Atticus Whitelaw, His Majesty formed an interim cabinet. After a few months of deliberation, the decision was made to reorganise The Kingdom of Stone Bay's key institutions into three powers.

In lieu of this decision, Stone Bay's military, law enforcement and security operations where brought together under one organisation. This was accomplished through the merger of The Watch and Most Valiant Order of the Citadel.

Organization

Board of the Admiralty

The Board of the admiralty is one of the Kingdom's most ancient organisations. It is composed of five Sealords, the Lord Admiral and at times a Chaplain.

In the current age, it is the supreme governing body of the Order of Orlan, with each Sealord specialising in the necessary skills and capabilities to ensure the efficient and proper running of the Order.


Lord Admiral of the Fleet

The Lord Admiral of the Fleet is the supreme martial and naval authority of the Order of Orlan and shall exercise preeminent command over all forces of the Crown. Serving as President and Chairperson of the Board of the Admiralty, presiding over its deliberations and directing its business.

Additionally the Lord Admiral appoints persons they deem necessary to the various Sealord positions.


First Sealord (Lord Marshal of the Bay)

The First Sealord, by virtue of their office is appointed Lord Marshal of the Bay for as long as they hold the office. The First Sealord holds the principal responsibility for the tactical command and daily administration of the Order’s forces.

The Lord Marshal of the Bay is invested with supreme tactical and operational command over the forces of the Order of Orlan, and acts as the day-to-day commander of the Order. supervising the daily affairs of the Order and its members, including patrols, deployments, enforcement actions, and internal order.


Second Sealord

The Second Sealord of the Admiralty serves as the Adjutant of the Order. Charged with the orderly administration, coordination, and internal governance of its members and offices. They maintain and supervise all personnel files, rolls, and records.


Third Sealord

The Third Sealord of the Admiralty serves as the Quartermaster and Master-at-Arms of the Order, and is charged with the provision, custody, readiness, and martial conditioning of all forces and members under the Order’s authority.


Fourth Sealord

The Fourth Sealord of the Admiralty serves as the Spymaster and Publication Officer of the Order, and is charged with the collection, analysis, control, and dissemination of information both within the Order and beyond it.


Fifth Sealord

The Fifth Sealord of the Admiralty serves as both Master of the Lists and Comptroller of the Order, and is charged with the governance, regulation, and oversight of the Order’s accounts, finances, sanctioned competitions, and commercial and business affairs, whether conducted directly by the Order or under its patronage, license, or sponsorship.


Watchmasters

The watchmasters are the NCO corps of the Order, entrusted with the day to day leadership of the enlisted and law enforcement activities. Operating on a rotating rota where-in each day has a designated "Watchmaster of the day", taking lead and handling situations that do not require the intervention of the Lord Marshal.

Troop Leads

Within the NCO corps is also the troop leads, who along with their duties as an NCO take lead of a troop, ensuring they are carrying out their duties effectively. Additionally hosting weekly training and various educational sessions to maintain the necessary skills and enable consistent growth and development.

Enlisted

The core of the Order, the enlisted make up the majority of order personnel, ranging from fresh initiates to the most senior enlisted Lance-Corporals and Corporals. From gate duty, patrols and case work, the enlisted keep the streets safe and criminals behind bars.
