History

The Prismarine Citadel was constructed around the Prismarine Throne after Jephdaphro and his Baymen discovered the Throne on a cliffside. Convinced that he needed to remain in the Karan Islands due to this artifact, Jephdaphro ordered the construction of a new, permanent Citadel (unlike the floating Citadel of Goldensong where the Baymen had previously resided). This Prismarine Citadel became the stronghold of the Baymen in Kara and their base of operations during the Drenoran War.

After the war, the Prismarine Citadel became the home of Jephdaphro and his family as rulers of the Kingdom of Stone Bay. Later, after Jephdaphro's disappearance, it became the home of the Steward of the Throne, Ulysses Mountbatten, and the base of operations for the Royal Guard.

After Ulysses took the Throne in 911 AJ, he and his family (and steward) moved into the Citadel fully.

What it contains

Inside the Prismarine Citadel are many locations of historical and current relevance to the Kingdom of Stone Bay.

The Throne Room

Constructed around the Throne itself, the Throne Room is the site of sittings of Prismarine Court and other important meetings. This room feels like static electricity —not simply from nerves, but from the Throne itself radiating power and electricity.

The King's Tower

The King's tower juts out from the eastern portion of the Citadel. King Ulysses I takes private meetings in the tower, such as Cabinet meetings or one-on-one discussions.

The Greyspire

The Greyspire is a tower on the northwestern side of the Citadel, serving as the Kingdom's magical center: the Greyspire contains magical artifacts and is the site of many rituals to protect the Citadel and Kingdom as a whole.
